It became impossible to submit a song for tags and that even for those who were already checked and filled some weeks ago. As I have a few Pc's, I tried the same on all the others but each gives me the same reply.
But then it would be nice if I could play Internet radio in the car too. I get all the CDDB titles off the net that way, then burn the tracks to DVD. With the MM 6 disc changer, I can fit my entire collection and not have to switch out discs.
Ya I do the rip thing also, but sometimes that compromises sound and it's sort of annoying having to constantly back up discs to CD-R.

It's probably a smaller version of the database to save space.
Why does the Gracenote media database only read certain CD's and not others?
It doesn't matter whether the CD is new or old or whatever but it only seems to be able to read a very small percentage of what I have. I think they're using a really parsed down version of it because when my household computer has to poll it for a title it gets it every time, including for CDs that the one in the car can't seem to find.
So I wouldn't blame Gracenote so much as the version they put in the car.
